Why We 5K — and Why I Hope You’ll Support Us

March 2026 - Brain Injury Awareness Month

This year, I’m participating in the Safe Living Space 5K - Your Way together on zoom with Uncle Dean Smith, who at age 99, holds the world record in his age group for indoor rowing (90+). What impresses me most about Uncle Dean is his lifelong commitment to movement, purpose, and brain health.

Together, we’re raising awareness for brain injury and concussion—often invisible, often misunderstood, and deeply life-changing. Through our work with Safe Living Space, I see every day how education and awareness can help people feel seen and supported, especially individuals with mental health symptoms resulting from injuries and trauma.

Your gift helps bring brain injury awareness into everyday life and turns compassion into action.

Thank you for making a difference.

Best regards,
Edie
